Building on the Envision Taylor Comprehensive Plan
The City of Taylor adopted the new Comprehensive Plan on November 18, 2021. Envision Taylor is a policy document intended to be used by city leaders, developers, business owners, and citizens to decide how to grow and develop in the future. The community was loud and clear: don't let this be a plan that sits on a shelf! Envision Taylor must be backed by the codes and standards that ensure it becomes reality.
Development Code Update
To ensure that the Envision Taylor plan comes to fruition, the city's codes need to reflect the way Taylor wants to look and function as it grows. Taylor's foundation is strong. The DNA of Taylor's building standards has made Taylor a place visitors and residents enjoy. Let's continue that legacy of small-town charm into Taylor's future, across all neighborhoods ensuring a variety of housing options, support of local businesses, and places where real community can grow.
