Taylor Code Tour

The Code Tour is designed to gather input from the Taylor Community as the development code is being drafted.

Submit your thoughts on the survey(s) below, then visit all the sites, either in person or online.

Results from the tour will be discussed at the upcoming community meeting, Wednesday July 13th at 1-4pm and 6-8pm at the Taylor Library. Details below.

#9: Sign Standards & the Howard Theatre

A historic relic from a well-loved institution, this sign is a reminder of civic pride from a bygone era. It’s out of scale with today’s sign standards though. Should any other business be allowed to have signs this large and obtrusive? Should any other theatre be allowed to make such an iconic statement in the future?

Why it's on the Code Tour:  The Taylor development code update includes updating the sign ordinance.

The question is: Is there a place in Taylor for another big sign like this? Under what circumstances, perhaps only by special exception?   (Survey now closed.)
