Once on the edge of town, this now-vacant lot is nestled in a neighborhood of homes in Old Taylor. A hospital once stood on this lot, built in 1892 and occupied through the 1960s. It was a large building, difficult to repurpose, that was eventually demolished.
What land uses do you think would be a great addition to the neighborhood?
Why it's on the Code Tour: Zoning dictates what could be built here - so what should the zoning allow? Taylor's existing zoning does not allow anything but residential homes to be built in new neighborhoods. Neighborhoods like this one have historically included neighborhood services, small retail, and multiple units on one lot.
The question is, what variety of unit mix and building type fit in this type of neighborhood here in Taylor? Share your thoughts in the surveys below. (Survey now closed.)
